Parent Association Foundation (PAF)

SRFACS Parent Association Foundation was established to provide services to the school community, to conduct activities to foster community spirit, involvement, and awareness, and to raise funds solely for the purposes of supporting school goals and programs, while continually being mindful of the French-American connection. The foundation is a tax-exempt organization under IRC Sec. 501(c)(3). Our Tax ID # is 45-5359406.

Board of Directors:

 

Helene Efron, President

Elected term: 2016-17 & 2017-18

 

Has a daughter at SRFACS and a son at Tech high, Sonoma state.

She has two bachelor degrees, one in International economy and the second in Public Relations/Marketing. Currently she works for a major Production company. As part of the event management team, her focus is on logistics for global events.

John Visconsi, Vice President

Elected term: 2016-17 & 2017-18

 

John is real estate partner at an international law firm, and has an MBA from Purdue University.  John, and his wife, Lauren, have four children at SRFACS, ranging from pre-K to 7th grade, and have been at the school since it was founded.   In addition to his secretarial duties on the board, John will be focusing on committee organization and be the liaison for the Merchant Rewards program. John’s children have been in French immersion programs, public and private, for the past ten years, and he strongly believes in the value it brings to our children, and society as a whole.

 

 

 

Niessia Diehl, Secretary

Elected term: 2015-16 & 2016-17

 

Niessia Benedetti Diehl has a daughter at SRFACS.  Niessia and her husband, Steve, also have two sons that attend Santa Rosa City Schools.  Niessia holds a Masters degree in counseling, with a credential in school counseling.  For the SRFACS board, Niessia is the point-person for grants, so please feel free to contact her directly with ideas!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jeff Gospe, Treasurer

Elected term: 2015-16 & 2016-17

 

Jeff has been on the board since 2012 and is passionate about the role of foreign languages and immersion in his own life success.  He works at a major brokerage firm, and serves numerous nonprofits and local schools, including as a trustee of the Rincon Valley Union School District Board of Education and Treasurer of the Santa Rosa French-American Charter School Foundation.

 

 

 

 

Melissa Van Prooyen, Director, Fifth Grade Teacher

Elected term: 2015-16 & 2016-17

 

Mrs. Van Prooyen was born in Wisconsin and has lived all over the US and in Germany.  She graduated Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and German.   Mrs. Van Prooyen started her career in education teaching conversational German to adults and then earned her elementary and secondary teaching certification through post-graduate studies at Texas State University.   She has taught at the high school and elementary levels. She relocated to Santa Rosa with her husband and three sons in 2010 to be closer to family. In her free time, Mrs. Van Prooyen loves to read, road bike and travel.  Mrs. Van Prooyen represents the teachers on SRFACS Parent Association Foundation board.

 

 

Galienne Eriksen, Director

Elected term: 2015-16 & 2016-17

 

Galienne is the operations manager for a local IT firm and part-time music teacher. Prior to her family’s move to Sonoma County, she spent over 20 years in event production in the US and Europe. Her son will be a SRFACS first-grader this year and her daughter expects to enroll next year. Galienne speaks French fluently and holds a degree in music. Her focus on the SRFACS foundation board is in event planning and volunteer coordination.

 

 

 

 

 

Megan Hernandez, Director

Elected term: 2016-17 & 2017-18

 

Megan has a second grader at SRFACS.  She holds a B.S. in Viticulture and Enology from UC Davis and has a background in winemaking.  She recently has moved to the supplier side of the industry and now represents Tonnellerie Orion and 2B FermControl.  Megan's focus on the board is Beaujolais Nouveau and traffic safety.

 

 

 

 

Tracey Klein, Director

Elected term: 2015-16 & 2016-17

 

Tracey is a Sonoma County native educated in the Santa Rosa City Schools district. Her background is in Musical Theater, studying at AMDA in New York City. She obtained a degree in Interior Design specializing as a Certified Kitchen Designer. She is currently working at a James McCalligan Architects in Santa Rosa. Tracey is a happily married SRFACS parent with two boys.  Her focus on the SRFACS foundation board is in event planning.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Brauley McNulty, Director

Elected term: 2016-17 & 2017-18

 

Brauley McNulty and her husband Blake are native Californians, and have lived in Sonoma County for over 20 years. They have two sons at SRFACS who are currently in the 1st and 5th grade. She has been a successful small business owner for the past 18 years. She has prior experience in the restaurant and hospitality industries, which are of great importance to her. Brauley’s focus on the board is the Nutrition / Lunch program. Other interests on the board include events, committee organization, volunteering and volunteer organization.
